Jeremy Clark, Assistant Professor, Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering in Montreal 

Jeremy Clark is an Assistant Professor at the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering in Montreal. He received his PhD in computer science from the University of Waterloo in 2011. His dissertation applied cryptography to designing and deploying verifiable voting systems, including Scantegrity -- the first use of an end-to-end verifiable system in a public sector election. He became interested in Bitcoin in 2010 and published one of the first academic papers in the area. Beyond research, he has worked with several municipalities on voting technology and testified to the Canadian Senate on Bitcoin.

 

Linda Mantia, Executive Vice President, Digital, Payments and Cards, RBC

Linda is the Executive Vice President of Digital, Payments and Cards for RBC. She is responsible for the strategic direction of RBC’s Personal and Business Credit Cards, Rewards and Partnership Programs, Merchant Strategies/Moneris, online and mobile banking, the enterprise Retail Payments Strategy and Innovation, and has joint oversight of RBC Digital team.

Linda is a member of the Personal and Commercial Banking Operating Committee, Chair of the board of directors for Moneris Solutions and sits on the Advisory Committee for VISA Canada. For two consecutive years, Linda has been named as one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Network. She was also named one of the Most Influential Women in Payments for 2015 by PaymentsSource and awarded the 2014 Women in Payments Award for Leadership by Women in Payments.

Prior to joining RBC, Linda was an Associate Principal for McKinsey & Company based in Canada, the US and Australia and prior to that Linda was a partner at Davies, Ward & Beck specializing in corporate and securities law.

In the community, Linda is actively involved in leading various aspects related to Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS) and is on the Board of Governors at Crescent School.\

 

Anthony Di Iorio, Chief Digital Officer TSX and TMX Group

Anthony Di Iorio is a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, community organizer, and thought leader in the field of disruptive and decentralized technologies. He serves as the Chief Digital Officer at The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) / TMX Group, co-founder of Ethereum, and founder and CEO of Kryptokit, Decentral and Decentral Consulting. At Decentral Consulting, Anthony and his team provide guidance to financial institutions and enterprise clients on digital transformations, Fintech & blockchain technologies.

Since 2012, Anthony has hosted over one hundred community-building events, including the first Canadian Bitcoin Expo in 2014, and DEC_TECH (Decentralized Technology) events held at MaRS Discovery District. In 2015, Anthony became a lecturer for the University of Nicosia's Master's program in Digital Currency, he is an Influencer for Deloitte’s Exponentials.xyz initiative, the Cryptocurrency Advisor to MaRS’ Fintech Cluster, and a member of the Bitcoin Speakers Bureau for the Bitcoin Foundation.
