Tracy Abel, Senior Vice President, Member Services, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Tracy Abel and her team are responsible for overseeing the personalized service to Teachers' 318,000 working and retired members as well as for the Member Services division's Actuarial, Tax and Accounts Receivable Services; Employer Information Services and Strategic Initiatives.

Ms. Abel joined Teachers' in 1987 and was promoted to Senior Vice-President, Member Services in 2014. As the leader of Member Services, she is responsible for all aspects of service delivery to members of the plan, including overseeing one of the country’s largest pension payrolls. Tracy has been a key contributor in Member Services world class performance, including the development of innovative solutions that serve the needs of plan members at all stages of their career or retirement.

Ms. Abel holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and a BA (Hons.) in Sociology from York University.

Warren Bell Chief Operating Officer, OMERS

Warren joined OMERS in 2010 and was appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) on September 1, 2014. In this role, Warren is responsible for people, processes and technology across the enterprise which includes the functional teams of Pension Services, Legal Services, Communications & Public Affairs, Technology, Project Management and Human Resources. He emphasizes the creation of value across the OMERS enterprise to achieve an innovative, ambitious business strategy.
Warren joined OMERS as Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer with over 25 years of Human Resources experience in financial services. Prior to joining OMERS, Warren held several related roles including the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Human Resources at TD Bank Group where he was responsible for Pensions & Benefit Plans, Employee Engagement, Executive Compensation, HR Mergers and Acquisitions, Employee Relations, Labour Relations and Employee Compensation across the enterprise. He also held the position of Managing Director and Global Head, Human Resources for TD Securities (SVP, TD Bank), a leading investment bank operating globally, headquartered in Toronto.
Warren serves as the Chair, Bruce Trail Conservancy and sits on the Advisory Panel on Resolution for the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC). He is a Certified Director (ICD.D), Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), and Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB) and holds both a Bachelor of Administration and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa.

Owen Davies, Managing Director at Accenture

As Accenture’s North America Pension Practice Lead, Owen has full responsibility and accountability for our pension assets, investments, resources and financials. With more than 25 years’ relevant experience, he successfully led the pension system transformations for North American defined benefit clients in Ontario, California, New York, Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Owen works closely with our pension clients, solutions vendors, and industry advisors to bring relevant, practical experience and modern solutions to our clients.  Always looking for new ways to promote sustainability and adequacy within the pension industry, Owen recently launched a major Campaign promoting Digital Retirement - mobile, social and analytics.
