Charles Evans, President & CEO, Federal Reserve Bank Of Chicago

Description

Tuesday November 27, 2012 - Benefactors' Lecture and Dinner - Monetary Policy in Challenging Times

Charles L. Evans is the ninth President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. In addition to presiding over the Chicago Fed, Dr. Evans is a member of the critical Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), chaired by Ben Bernanke, which is the Federal Reserve System's official monetary-policy making body. Dr. Evans spoke on how America's central bank intends to continue to respond to lackluster economic progress. Given the Canadian economy's stake in American markets, this event gave a critical glimpse into the direction the US economy is heading.

This year’s Benefactors’ Lecture is being sponsored by Briar Foster, Chairman and Founder of Foster & Associates.
