Inside Access: Selling City-owned Electricity Distributors To Finance Infrastructure

Description

Conference Call with Steven Robins, Joint MBA and Master Public Policy Candidate, Harvard University

Many of Canada's cities own local electricity distribution companies, but there is no compelling public policy rationale for continued municipal ownership. Taxpayers may be better served by municipalities selling their equity stakes to the private sector and recycling the proceeds into high priority infrastructure projects.

Inside Access is an exclusive, members-only opportunity:

  • 30 minute briefing and Q&A on Institute papers
  • A quick and convenient way to understand why our research is relevant to you, your organization, and the broader economy
  • Free as a member benefit
