Summary

Andrew Parkin has devoted his career to advancing evidence-based policy making, bringing diverse interests together, and bridging the gap between policy research and public dialogue in order to lead and inform non-partisan debate and action about Canada and its future. 

He has held a variety of positions including Director General of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), Associate Executive Director and Director, Research and Program Development, of the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation, and Co-Director of the Centre for Research and Information on Canada.

Dr. Parkin completed his post-doctorate at Dalhousie University, his Ph.D. at the University of Bradford (U.K.), and his B.A. (Honours) at Queen’s University. He has received several academic honours and has authored or co-authored numerous publications on Canadian politics and social policy.
