Summary

Chris Montgomery is a public affairs and policy expert with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors.

Chris joined the Explorers and Producers Association of Canada (EPAC) in January 2020 and currently serves as the organization’s Vice President, Policy. In that role, Chris advocates for the legislative, regulatory and policy interests of the upstream oil and natural gas industry with federal and provincial governments. He is a leading expert in climate policy.

Prior to joining EPAC, Chris ran an advocacy-focused stakeholder relations program across Western Canada on behalf of a major national industry association. He spent more than a decade on Parliament Hill, including in a senior communications and parliamentary affairs role for the Leader of the Government in the Senate.

Chris is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his service to Canada.
