Summary

Colin MacKenzie is the Editor of Intelligence Memos, the C.D. Howe Institute’s venue for topical short pieces of economic commentary and analysis produced by its economists, institute fellows and other authors. He began his career in journalism in Ottawa and has held senior positions at a variety of major Canadian publications. He was Managing Editor of the Report on Business and a Washington correspondent for the Globe and Mail. At the Toronto Star his roles included Business Editor, National Editor and Foreign Editor. Colin has also been a consultant and teacher. He is also a Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto where he teaches in the Fellowship in Global Journalism program.
