Summary

Neala Barton oversees the Canadian Institute for Health Information’s (CIHI) communications, education and branding efforts, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relations with CIHI’s many clients and stakeholders.

Most recently, Ms. Barton served as senior vice president of marketing, communications and public affairs on the team charged with implementing the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan. She also worked as senior vice president for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, as the member of the organizing committee responsible for communications and media relations. Ms. Barton has held senior communication roles in the governments of Ontario and Alberta, advising premiers and ministers of health.

She holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University and a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University.
