Paul C. Bourque most recently served as President and CEO of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). He joined the organization in June 2016. He currently serves as Chair of the Board and President of the Institute for Financial Services Education.
He has an in depth knowledge of capital markets through senior executive positions with the Ontario Securities Commission, BC Securities Commission, Investment Dealers Association/Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada as well as his role with the IFIC. He also has experience in the legislative drafting and approval processes working with provincial governments in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario in briefing, drafting and reviewing legislative amendments. He has also served as Alberta’s Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General.
