Tomorrow, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will reveal his picks for cabinet, and the C.D. Howe Institute has tapped Canada’s top policy experts to provide guidance to the new ministers.
In the Ministerial Mandate Letters series, the Institute provides a checklist for incoming ministers, setting out the crucial policy issues they will need to grapple with, and providing smart solutions for them to consider.
Some of these policies would require very little effort to enact. Others would require more sustained and arduous action. All of them would improve Canada’s competitiveness on the world stage and raise living standards for Canadians.
