May 31, 2018 – William B.P. Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Jeff Lozon,C.M. Chief Executive Officer, Lozon Associates, to the Institute’s National Council.
“Jeff is one of Canada’s most respected public health leaders,” said Robson. “We are delighted to have him join the National Council and look forward to his insights and guidance to support the Institute’s research.”
Lozon is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lozon Associates, an independent advisory firm providing strategic counsel to the health and seniors industries across North America. He also currently holds the role of Chair of Sunrise Senior Living, North America’s preeminent seniors care provider. He is a Director and Co-Chair of the Governance Committee of Medical Facilities Corporation, a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company. He is also a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Voalte Inc.
An experienced corporate director, Lozon served on the C.D. Howe Institute’s Board of Directors from November 2012 until May 2018. He also recently joined the Institute’s research program as a Senior Fellow.
He holds a certificate in Senior Executive Leadership from Stanford University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Alberta. Lozon is a holder of an Honorary Doctorate from Bishops University and has been named a recipient of Alumni Awards of Excellence by both the University of Guelph and the University of Alberta. In 2009, Lozon was appointed a member of the Order of Canada.
