Parisa has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Economics from Shiraz University in Iran, and a Master of Arts and a PhD in Economics from the University of Guelph. Her PhD research areas mainly focused on the life cycle analysis of social security reforms as well as investment-specific technology shocks using Dynamic Stochastic General equilibrium models with an emphasis on the human capital accumulation. She also studied the skills, education, and labour market outcomes of second generation immigrants in Canada.
Prior to joining the C.D. How Institute, she worked at the Statistics Canada Research Data Center.
