September 23, 2019 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the re-appointment of Arthur Sweetman as a Research Fellow.

“Arthur has long distinguished himself for his policy insights, particularly in the intersection of healthcare and human capital issues,” said Robson. “We at the C.D. Howe Institute value the collaboration and look forward to the continued partnership.”

Arthur Sweetman is the Ontario Research Chair in Health Human Resources at McMaster University. Dr. Sweetman’s research focuses on issues in health human resources in Ontario, including physician supply and payment, health budgets, and primary care reform. He also does research looking at economic issues concerning immigration and Canadian labour market issues.

Prior to his post as Research Chair, Dr. Sweetman was the Director of the School of Policy Studies at Queen’s University.
