October 8, 2020 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the re-appointment of Martin Eichenbaum as an International Fellow.
“Marty brings a wealth of insights about macroeconomics and monetary policy to the C.D. Howe Institute’s research program,” said Robson. “He has been a valued collaborator, and we look forward to further work together.”

Martin Eichenbaum is the Charles Moskos Professor of economics at Northwestern University and the co-director of the Center for International Economics at Northwestern University. He has been at Northwestern University since 1988. He has also taught at the University of Chicago and the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Eichenbaum earned his PhD in economics from the University of Minnesota. He served as the co-editor of the American Economic Review from 2011-2015. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a fellow of the Econometric Society and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is currently a consultant to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as well as to the IMF. In addition, he is a member of the academic advisory council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Finally, he is on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Montreal as well as the Aaron Institute for Economic Policy, The Interdisciplinary Center Herzlia, Israel.
