May 29, 2024 – The Board of Directors and staff at the C.D. Howe Institute mourns the passing of Dr. Gary P. Mooney, K.C.
A lawyer, businessman and former Jesuit priest, Dr. Mooney was a long-time member of the Institute’s National Council and known as a pioneer of title insurance and legal processing outsourcing for financial institutions in Canada. His mark on the business world includes serving as CEO of Canadian Lender Services Limited, CEO and Chairman of MyClosing as well as President and CEO of FNF Canada and Chief Agent of Chicago Title.
“A business trailblazer, Dr. Gary P. Mooney will always be remembered as being intellectually curious, a connector and a fierce advocate for Newfoundland and Labrador,” says William B.P.
