November 28, 2019 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the re-appointment of Wendy Dobson as a Research Fellow.

“Wendy has made myriad contributions to the C.D. Howe Institute, as a colleague, as a supporter, and as a catalyst for our research program,” said Robson. “We are delighted to continue this long and fruitful collaboration.”

Wendy Dobson is Professor and Co-Director of the Institute of International Business at the Rotman School of Management.  She has served as Canada's Associate Deputy Minister of Finance and as President of the C.D. Howe Institute.

She chairs the Pacific Trade and Development research network and has published in English and Mandarin on Asia’s rise; the future of the Indian and Chinese economies in the world economy; the Chinese financial system; and Chinese innovation. Ya Zhou Xin Shi Li, the Mandarin translation of her book Gravity Shift, won an award for the Best Book in Finance and Economics by China’s public affairs website Hexun.com. Professor Dobson’s most recent work, co-authored with Professor Paul Evans at UBC and published in November 2015, is entitled The Future of Canada's Relationship with China
