The C.D. Howe Institute hosted a special policy conference on Financial Regulation: Impact on Competitiveness, Competition, and Consumers on April 3 in Toronto. On a broad level, the conference explored the current landscape and impact of regulation implemented since the financial crisis. By convening decision makers in the field, we had a discussion to formulate policy recommendations that balance stability with competitiveness.
