Conrad Black is the author of widely acclaimed biographies of Maurice Duplessis, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, and a strategic history of the United States. He is also the author of two best-selling memoirs.  Black was for many years the head of Argus, Hollinger, and Telegraph Newspaper groups. A financier, a columnist for the National Post, which he founded, as well as many other publications including the National Review Online, New Criterion and the Spectator, Conrad Black has been a member of the British House of Lords since 2001 and lives in Toronto.
