David Daien, Division Head, Primary Care, Trillium Health Partners 

Dr. David Daien is a former Biomedical Engineer, dedicated Family Physician and a passionate eHealth leader. His career has concentrated on the appropriate use of technology to achieve high quality care.
Dr. Daien is the Clinical co-Lead of Connecting Ontario Greater Toronto Region. In this role, he shares the leadership of the Clinical Working Group of this initiative that is integrating health information across 6 LHINs with over 50000 users, across multiple disciplines, enrolled. 
Dr. Daien is also a member of the Board of Directors for OntarioMD, an organization tasked with supporting community based practices to adopt information technology and management tools.
Other current leadership positions include Division Head for Primary Care at Trillium Health Partners, Primary Care Lead for the Medical Psychiatry Alliance at Trillium Health Partners and IT Lead for Summerville Family Health Team, where his practice is located.
In the past, Dr. Daien has participated in numerous regional, provincial and national eHealth related working groups and advisory committees.   

 

Michael Green, President and Chief Executive Officer, Canada Health Infoway

Michael Green has an international reputation and proven track record of transforming health care through the use of digital health.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Health Infoway, he works with Infoway’s jurisdictional partners and other key stakeholders to accelerate the development and adoption of digital health in Canada, which will provide clinicians and patients with information they need to support safer care decisions and a more modern and sustainable health care system for all Canadians.

Prior to his role at Infoway, Michael was President and CEO, Americas Region with Agfa Healthcare Inc. In this capacity, he led the transformation of radiology from film to digital in many jurisdictions across Canada and globally, making him an early visionary in the way digital health solutions can help make public health systems more sustainable and improve the patient experience.

Michael has strong leadership and communications skills; he is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of bringing the best international research and innovation to Canada to advance the digital health agenda, create jobs and stimulate economic growth.

Michael has a diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the London Metropolitan University and spent his early career working at King’s College Hospital in the UK. In 2012 he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contribution to the Canadian Health IT industry. He served as Chair of the ITAC Health (Information Technology Association of Canada) Board of Directors  from 2009-2012. He was also a Board member of MITA, the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (USA), first as director from 2004-2009, then as Chair from 2009-2014. 

 

Alies Maybee, Co-Founder, Patient Advisors Network

Alies Maybee is passionate about meaningful public involvement in all aspects of healthcare. She brings her patient, caregiver and technology background to her commitment as a patient advisor. At her local hospital, Alies is on the Community Engagement Council and is a patient and family advisor on a variety of projects. She collaborates with Health Quality Ontario, the Ministry and is on the Citizens Panel, Toronto Central LHIN. In the research area, Alies is on the ARTIC Operational Committee,  CFN citizen engagement committee and Patient Engagement Advisory Committee, Bruyère Research Institute.  She is a patient partner on six research teams. And finally she is one of 12 co-founders of the Patient Advisors Network (PAN).
