Bert Clark, President and Chief Executive Officer, Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO)
Bert oversees IMCO’s strategic direction and global growth so that the organization can meet the long-term financial objectives of its clients.
Prior to IMCO, Bert was the President and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario (IO), which is responsible for managing the province of Ontario’s real estate portfolio, lending to municipalities and other public-sector organizations and the delivery of large, complex public infrastructure projects.
Before joining IO, Bert was the Managing Director responsible for the North American infrastructure advisory business at Scotiabank.
Sacha Ghai, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company
Sacha is the managing partner for McKinsey & Company’s Toronto office and is a senior partner of the firm. He is also a leader of our global Institutional Investor service line, which serves retirement systems, pension plans, endowments, and family offices around the world.
Sacha has served leading institutional investors—including pension funds in North America and sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East and Asia—across a wide range of issues. In particular, he has helped several such investors develop long-term multi-asset class strategies, including their investment philosophies, business models, choices on direct versus indirect investing, and approaches to relationship management.
Sacha spent a year as a fellow of the McKinsey Global Institute where he led a major research effort on the impact of global demographic change on international capital markets. His work has been presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and has appeared in publications including Business Week, the Financial Times, and the McKinsey Quarterly.
Sacha received his MBA from Harvard and has served on the Boards of Trillium Health Partners and the Sterling Hall School.
Blake Hutcheson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Ontario Municipal Employees' Retirement System (OMERS)
Blake Hutcheson is President and CEO of OMERS. He is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the OMERS enterprise.
He was appointed OMERS President and Chief Pension Officer in 2018. His mandate included leading OMERS pension business, Strategy, Communications & Public Affairs, Legal, Technology and Operations, in addition to Asset Liability Management.
Blake previously served as President and CEO of Oxford Properties Group since 2010, and in 2014 he also became Chief Investment Officer, Real Estate and Strategic Investments and added the OMERS Platform Investments portfolio, an integral part of the OMERS innovative agenda.
Prior to OMERS, Blake was the Head of Global Real Estate with Mount Kellett Capital Management, a New York-based private equity firm with offices in key locations around the globe. Previously, he was Chairman and President of the Canadian, Latin American, and Mexican operations for CB Richard Ellis, the world’s largest real estate services company.
A former recipient of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, Blake is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario. He also completed a Graduate Diploma in International and Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics (with Distinction) and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development at Columbia University (where he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2017).
Blake continues to play Masters Lacrosse every summer for his home town of Huntsville, Ontario. He is married and has two children.
