Housing Markets and Policy: Steady as She Goes, or Headed for a Fall?

Toronto ON, Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt LLP Lecture Hall, C.D. Howe Institute, 67 Yonge Street, Suite 300

Sponsored by:

The C.D. Howe Institute was pleased to host an off-the-record conference on housing policy. The recent housing market upheaval in the US and abroad, and concerns over housing and credit market developments in Canada, has brought change to the housing market's financial structure. Amid shifting market forces, we have seen important changes in Canada, particularly in federal legislation and regulation. The Institute's conference convened senior-level industry representatives, policymakers and leading experts to evaluate housing market and housing finance changes, and to recommend future policy choices.
