Juriste et médecin, auteur, professeur de droit, l’honorable Pierre Marc Johnson est un ancien premier ministre du Québec (1985). Me Johnson est avocat-conseil au cabinet centenaire d’avocats Lavery à Montréal. Depuis 20 ans il a siégé au Conseil d’administration ou au Comité consultatif de plus de 25 entreprises et organismes au Canada, aux États-Unis et en Europe dont Holcim Canada, Orthosoft, Vincor International, Medicago, Dow Chemical et Ace Aviation et ses affiliés Air Canada, Aéroplan, Jazz. Il a servi comme négociateur en chef pour plusieurs conventions environnementales et développementales des Nations-unis. Me. Johnson était le négociateur en chef pour le Québec dans le dossier du bois d’œuvre entre le Canada et les États-Unis de 2002 à 2007, il a présidé une Commission d’enquête publique sur l’effondrement du viaduc de la Concorde à Laval en 2007. Me. Johnson depuis 2009 agit comme Négociateur en chef pour le Gouvernement du Québec dans le dossier de l’Accord économique et commercial global entre le Canada et l'Union européenne.

A lawyer and physician by training, author, lecturer, Honourable Pierre Marc Johnson is a former Premier of Québec (1985). He is of Counsel in Montreal to Lavery Attorneys, one of Québec’s most long standing business law firms. In the past 20 years, he has sat on more than 25 corporate senior and junior Boards, as well as Advisory Committees in Canada, the US and Europe, including Holcim Canada, Orthosoft, Vincor International, Medicago, the Dow Chemical Company, as well as Air Canada and its affiliates. In the past he has served as negotiator, mediator in various United Nations environment and development conventions. Mr Johnson was Québec’s Chief Negotiator in the 2002 Softwood negotiation round with the USA.

Mr. Johnson is presently serving as the Chief Negotiator of the Québec Government on the Canada-EU Free Trade Negotiations.
