Paul Allard, Co-fondateur, Impak Finance Inc.

Avec plus de 20 années d’expérience en gestion, en commercialisation et en financement d’entreprises, M. Allard est le fondateur et le président d’impak Finance.

De 2015 à aujourd’hui, il a été conseiller principal à Redwood Capital à New York.

Il a été fondateur et DG d’Engagement Labs (TSXV : EL), une entreprise de technologie spécialisée dans les données, les analyses et les perspectives des médias sociaux. ELabs a des bureaux à Londres, New York, Toronto et Montréal.

M. Allard a également été chargé de cours à l’Université du Québec à Montréal pour une série de séminaires sur l’entrepreneuriat.

Il a cofondé et exploité pendant trois ans AlternativeChannel.tv, la première chaîne de télévision multilingue sur Internet consacrée au développement durable.

En 1997, il a fondé ZAQ Inc., une entreprise de services Web et de technologie télévisuelle interactive qu'il a rendu public (IPO) 3 ans plus tars.

M. Allard a également été cofondateur de l’« Alliance numérique » et de l’Association des producteurs en multimédia interactif du Canada. Ces deux organisations étaient responsables de l’examen et la négociation de politiques gouvernementales impactant cette nouvelle industrie.

M. Allard est titulaire d’un baccalauréat ès arts en musique et d’une maîtrise en administration des affaires (MBA) en finance et marketing de HEC Montréal.

 

Andrew Hanff, Associé, Roland Berger Montreal

 

Lionel Pimpin, Premier vice-président, Canaux numériques – Stratégies Particuliers et Entreprises à la Banque Nationale du Canada

En tant que premier vice-président Canaux numériques et stratégies particuliers et entreprises, Lionel Pimpin est en charge de la transformation, de la gestion et de la performance des canaux numériques pour tous les secteurs de la Banque. Il est également responsable de la définition des orientations stratégiques, de l'élaboration et de la mise en oeuvre réussie de stratégies numériques et de solutions de paiement émergentes. Il gère également le portefeuille d'investissement des canaux numériques et libre-service et assure la valeur d'une expérience client multicanal intégrée.

De janvier 2014 à juin 2016, M. Pimpin a occupé le poste de vice-président – Expérience client, Stratégie et Performance où il a eu comme mandat de structurer, d’encadrer et d’intégrer toutes les activités de planification stratégique et financière, de gestion du portefeuille d’initiatives d’affaires, de performance globale du secteur Marketing, de gestion de l'Expérience Client et de la recherche Marketing.

Reconnu pour sa capacité à travailler dans des environnements en mutation et spécialisé en gestion de grands programmes de transformation, M. Pimpin possède une solide connaissance des services financiers et des opérations bancaires grâce aux diverses fonctions qu’il a occupées pendant 15 ans au sein de l’entreprise internationale de conseil, Accenture.

M. Pimpin est titulaire d’un Master en business de l’EDHEC Business School en France et d’un MSc Marketing Management de l’université d’Aston au Royaume-Uni.

Paul Allard, Co-founder, Impak Finance Inc.

With more than 20 years of experience in management, marketing and funding of innovative companies in the media and technology industry, Mr. Allard is currently founder and President of impak Finance.

Since 2015, he has been a senior advisor at Redwood Capital in NY.

He was founder and CEO of Engagement Labs, a public company specialized in social media data, analytics and insights for organizations engaging on social networks. Elabs has offices in London, New-York, Toronto and Montreal.

Mr. Allard was also lecturer at Université du Québec à Montréal for a series of seminars on entrepreneurship.

Prior to that, he co-founded and operated for 3 years AlternativeChannel.tv, the first Multilanguage WebTV channel devoted to sustainable development.

In 1997, he founded ZAQ Inc., a web services and interactive TV technology company, which he brought public 3 years later.

Mr. Allard also was co-founder and Chairman of Alliance Numérique, and Interactive Multimedia Producers of Canada. These two organizations were responsible for negotiating government policies affecting this new industry.

Mr. Allard holds a Bachelor of Arts in music and an MBA in International Marketing & Finance from HEC Montreal.

 

Andrew Hanff, Partner, Roland Berger Montreal

Andrew Hanff joined the global management consultancy Roland Berger in 2016 as a Partner in the firm's financial services practice.  He focuses primarily on serving retail, commercial and cooperative banks, pension plans, asset managers, fintechs and other financial services players. In serving clients, Andrew brings functional expertise in the areas of strategy formulation, business design, growth initiatives, private equity target asset portfolio valuation and optimization, disruptive technology/IT strategy, cost reduction and enterprise transformation.

Prior to joining Roland Berger, Andrew worked for 8 years at another international consultancy serving major clients principally across a broad spectrum of financial services. Earlier, he held progressively senior managerial positions within the B2B space.  Andrew's exposure to AI and machine learning started at the beginning of his career in the engineering field, during which time he programmed machine learning and other complex applications.

Besides an MBA (Honors) from INSEAD (France), Andrew holds a B.Sc. (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and fluent in English, French, Spanish and Danish.

 

Lionel Pimpin, Senior Vice President-Digital Channels and P&C Strategies, National Bank

As Senior Vice President - Digital Channels and P&C Strategies, Lionel Pimpin is in charge of the management, performance and transformation of NBC digital channels. This encompasses defining strategic directions, developing and successfully implementing digital and emerging payments strategies and managing multi-year investment portfolio of digital and self-service channels.

From January 2014 to June 2016, Mr. Pimpin held the position of Vice-President - Client Experience, Strategy and Performance, with a mandate to structure, oversee and integrate all strategic and financial planning activities, portfolio management of business initiatives, overall performance in the Marketing, Customer Experience Management and Marketing research sectors.

Recognized for his ability to work in changing environments and specialized in the management of major transformation programs, Mr. Pimpin has a solid background in the service sector through the various roles he has held for 15 years as a managing director of the international consulting firm, Accenture.

Mr. Pimpin holds a Master's degree in Business from EDHEC Business School in France and an MSc in Marketing Management from the University of Aston in the United Kingdom.
