Madame Brochu est active dans l’industrie énergétique depuis plus de 25 ans. Elle a entrepris sa carrière, en 1987, en tant qu’analyste financier chez SOQUIP (Société québécoise d’initiatives pétrolières). En 1992, elle est promue vice-présidente.
En 1997, elle se joint à Gaz Métro, en tant que Vice-présidente, Développement des affaires. En 2005, madame Brochu est nommée Vice-présidente exécutive. Depuis 2007, madame Brochu occupe le poste de Présidente et chef de la direction de Gaz Métro.
Madame Brochu est diplômée en sciences économiques de l’Université Laval, à Québec, où elle s’est spécialisée dans le domaine énergétique. Elle siège au conseil d’administration de la Banque de Montréal ainsi que de Bell Canada et de BCE Inc.
Mme Brochu s’implique activement auprès de Centraide du Grand Montréal dont elle a notamment coprésidé la campagne de financement 2010. Elle préside le conseil d’administration de Forces Avenir, un organisme qui encourage et célèbre l’engagement étudiant dans la communauté. Elle est également impliquée à La ruelle de l’avenir, un organisme qui lutte contre le décrochage scolaire dans les quartiers Centre-Sud et Hochelaga. Enfin, elle siège au conseil d’administration de la Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon.
Ms. Brochu has been active in the energy industry for more than 25 years. She began her career in 1987 as a financial analyst for SOQUIP (Société québécoise d’initiatives pétrolières). She was promoted Vice-President in 1992.
In 1997, she joined Gaz Métro, as Vice President, Business Development. In 2005, Ms. Brochu was appointed Executive Vice-President. Since 2007, she has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Gaz Métro.
Ms. Brochu graduated in economics from Université Laval, in Québec City, where she specialized in the energy sector. She sits on the Board of Directors of Bank of Montreal, Bell Canada and BCE Inc.
Ms. Brochu is actively involved with Centraide of Greater Montreal having notably co-chaired the 2010 annual campaign. She is the Chair of Forces Avenir which promotes students involvement in their Communities. She is also involved in “80, ruelle de l’Avenir”, a project aimed at encouraging students in the Centre-Sud and Hochelaga neighbourhoods of Montréal to remain in school. Finally, she sits on the Board of Directors of La Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon.
