Tuesday April 30, 2013 - Toronto Roundtable Event - Canada-India Relations: The Untapped Potential

 

Last year, the C.D. Howe Institute hosted a full-day policy seminar on Canada-India relations. Given the opportunity on the table for Canada, the Institute is committed to continuing the conversation. Sudhir Vyas, the Secretary (West) at the Ministry of External Affairs in the Government of India, will discuss the state of negotiations and challenges ahead. Mr. Vyas' role is equivalent to the Canadian DM at DFAIT, and the event will be off-the-record to ensure a candid session.

Ambassador Vyas was born on 24th September, 1953 at Allahabad, India.  He obtained his B.Tech Electronics Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 1975.  He speaks English, Hindi, Arabic, and French.  He is married to Mrs. Vasundhara Vyas and they have one son.
