Join us for a C.D. Howe Institute Roundtable videoconference with Evan Siddall, President & CEO, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. This event will bring two of Canada’s largest cities, both at the center of the Canadian housing conversation, into a national dialogue. 

This off-the-record event will be streamed live to the C.D. Howe Institute’s office in Toronto from Calgary. Members are invited to attend free of charge in Toronto. A representative of the Institute will facilitate the videoconference, and Toronto attendees will be able to participate in the discussion and ask the speaker questions.

Evan Siddall was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in January 2014.Before joining CMHC, Mr. Siddall served as Special Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank’s Senior Representative to Toronto, where he led projects designed to promote continuous financial markets and the future stability of the Canadian financial system.Over the course of his career, Mr. Siddall has held a variety of positions in both investment banking and general management, including at BMO Nesbitt Burns, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Lazard Frères & Co. Immediately prior to joining the Bank of Canada, Mr. Siddall held the position of Corporate Finance Officer at Fort Reliance Co. / Irving Oil Ltd.Mr. Siddall received an L.L.B from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from the University of Guelph. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents’ Organization (Ontario Chapter). He has also served as Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph, on the boards of the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and of the Canadian Stage Company, and as Chair of the Council of Chairs of Ontario Universities.
