May 16, 2016 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Adam F. Fanaki, Partner at Davies, Ward, Phillips & Vineberg LLP, as Co-Chair of the Institute’s Competition Policy Council.

“Adam is an outstanding authority on competition policy and has made key contributions to the work of the Compeition Policy Council,” commented Robson. “Having him as Co-Chair makes the Council that much stronger.”

The Competition Policy Council comprises top-ranked academics and practitioners active in competition policy. It provides expert, independent analysis of emerging competition policy issues, including those potentially faced by the Competition Bureau. Benjamin Dachis, Associate Director of Research at the C.D. Howe Institute, is the Council’s other Co-Chair.

The Council’s most recent report is entitled “Watching the Watchmen: The Need for Greater Oversight of the Competition Bureau.”
