February 23, 2015 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Mati Dubrovinsky as a Research Fellow.

“Mati has made important contributions to the Institute’s research, as an author and collaborator,” said Robson. “We are delighted to continue working with him.”

Dr. Dubrovinsky is a policy advisor in the Ontario Ministry of Finance.

He formerly steered the Institute’s financial services and monetary work. His recent research includes: “A Speedier and More Efficient Payments System for Canada” and “Money Still Matters: How the Bank of Canada Might Better Monitor Inflation.”

Prior to the Institute, he was a senior analyst at the Bank of Canada. He has economics degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of British Columbia; his PhD (minor in finance) is from the Sauder School of Business.
