May 24, 2016 – William Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute, announces the appointment of Madeleine Renaud, Partner at McCarthy Tétrault, to the Competition Policy Council.

“Madeleine is a top-ranked competition expert,” remarked Robson. “We look forward to her input on the many competition issues that affect the dynamism of Canada’s economy.”

The Competition Policy Council comprises top-ranked academics and practitioners active in competition policy. It provides expert, independent analysis of emerging competition policy issues, including those potentially faced by the Competition Bureau.

The Council’s most recent report is entitled “A New Competition Act for a New Federal Government.”
