Christopher Lawson joined the C.D. Howe Institute in 2022. Leading its research advancement team, his role includes the solicitation of major funding grants, the facilitation of conferences and major projects, and the strengthening of relationships with the Institute’s closest friends and supporters.
Christopher was previously an academic researcher and instructor, most recently as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the History Department at the University of Toronto. He completed his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley in 2020, where he trained as a social and political historian of 20th Century Britain and the British Empire, and he also holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Toronto.
