Jonathan Tétrault is a Managing Partner at Sagard and CEO of Sagard Private Equity Solutions, and is based in Montreal, Canada. He is also responsible for the global expansion of the firm, including overseeing its M&A and Strategic Partnerships activities.
Prior to Sagard, Jonathan served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, where he oversaw the operations and corporate development activities of the group globally. Prior to joining Cirque du Soleil, he spent 14 years at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Partner. At McKinsey & Company, he co-led the Global Institutional Investors Practice, led the Canadian Financial Services practice, and acted as Managing Partner of the Montreal office. He advised institutional investors, private equity firms, asset management firms, and banks on a broad range of strategic and investment matters in more than 25 countries.
Jonathan holds an MBA from Oxford University, an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal, and a CEP from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec and serves on several boards, including those of goeasy Ltd (TSX: GSY), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the C.D. Howe Institute, and the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra.
