Kate Koplovich is a Senior Policy Analyst for Energy with the C.D. Howe Institute. Based in Calgary, Alberta, her over 10-year career has focused on positioning Canada’s energy sector as a global leader, while enabling a low-carbon economy. She was previously the Director of Strategy for Calgary Economic Development where she developed and led economic development research and strategies, including public policy analysis, innovation and energy transition. Kate also worked for Deloitte’s Sustainability and Climate Change practice, supporting Canada’s largest energy companies develop emissions reduction targets, decarbonization pathways, sustainability strategies and reports.Â
Kate holds an MSc. Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from University College London and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies, Minor in Economics from the University of Waterloo.
