Summary
Mr. Gagnon was appointed President of Intact's Canadian operations in January 2018. In this role, Mr. Gagnon is responsible for all Canadian based business entities, in addition to overseeing Personal Lines, Commercial Lines and Marketing functions.
From 2013 to 2017, Mr. Gagnon was President, Service & Distribution, where he oversaw the development and expansion of Belairdirect, BrokerLink, international initiatives and ventures as well as Intact’s claims operations. Prior to that, Mr. Gagnon served as President and Chief Operating Officer from to 2011 to 2013 and President of Intact Insurance from 2008 to 2011. He joined Intact Insurance as Senior Vice-President Quebec division in January 2007. Mr. Gagnon started his career in the banking industry before becoming an insurance broker in 1992. Prior of joining Intact (ING), he headed a successful brokerage with offices in Quebec and Ontario and was active within the provincial and national brokers associations. Mr. Gagnon is the former President of the Regroupement des Cabinets de Courtage du Québec (RCCAQ) and Director of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
Mr. Gagnon earned a BA in Economic Science from the Université de Montréal and a MBA from the University of Ottawa.
