Ramy Rayes has been with BCI since 2016. He is responsible for setting, implementing, and monitoring clients’ investment strategies and for providing independent advice to BCI’s stakeholders. This is accomplished by working with clients, management, and asset classes to define the optimal path to achieve clients’ objectives and enabling BCI’s investment structures and processes necessary to fulfill these outcomes. Ramy leads the Investment Strategy & Risk department which consists of four branches: Strategic Asset Allocation, Total Fund Management, Investment Risk and Growth & Investment Solutions. Ramy is also a member of BCI’s Management Investment Committee. With over $250 billion of gross managed assets, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets.
Prior to joining BCI, Ramy spent a decade at Morneau Shepell Ltd. (now TELUS Health) in Montreal as principal, asset and risk management, where he advised employers on all aspects of asset & liability management for pension funds. Prior to Morneau Shepell Ltd., Ramy was part of the Pension & Benefits team at the Laurentian Bank of Canada.
Ramy holds a bachelor of science in mathematics specializing in actuarial science from the University of Montreal. He is an associate of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and a financial risk manager certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
