February 4, 2026 – The C.D. Howe Institute is pleased to announce that it has received a $250,000 donation from Element Fleet Management President and CEO Laura Dottori-Attanasio.
A member of the Institute’s Board of Directors since 2022, Ms. Dottori-Attanasio’s generous philanthropic contribution builds on multiple recent donations to the Institute and supports the establishment of the William Robson Chair in Public Sector Governance and Accountability.
“We deeply appreciate Laura’s leadership gift, which will foster research excellence, collaboration, discussion and policy engagement,” says William B.P. Robson, President and CEO of the C.D. Howe Institute.
Ms. Dottori-Attanasio has more than 30 years of experience in Canada’s financial sector. Prior to joining Element Fleet Management in 2023, she served as Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Personal and Business Banking at CIBC, where the bank earned the highest rank in overall client satisfaction for online banking among Canada’s Big Five banks in 2022, according to J.D. Power.
During her tenure at CIBC, she also held positions as Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer and Managing Director & Global Head of Corporate Banking.
Ms. Dottori-Attanasio serves on the Board of Trustees of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, sits on the Board Selection Committee of The Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons’ A Seat at the Table initiative, and is Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada.
