Our publications undergo a rigorous external review process by academics and independent experts drawn from the public and private sectors.
The research and commentary, rather than the identity of authors and reviewers, is the paramount consideration in our review process as prospective reports are evaluated using methods such as single- and double-blind review to uphold our high research standards.
The C.D. Howe Institute continually works to improve its review process so that it is best-in-class, using two academics or other professionals to audit its process annually.
Our peer-review process ensures the quality and integrity of our policy research, and the C.D. Howe Institute does not publish any study that, in our view, fails to meet the standards of our review process.
